Eric Hofmann, Assoc. AIA, LEED AP BD+C, LFA, Fitwel Ambassador, integrates form, experience, and sustainability through a story to emphasize the architecture as one emotional gesture. Architecture has become more than a career…it’s a mission.

Eric is currently an Architectural Coordinator at HDR. He holds a Bachelor of Science and Master’s degree in Architecture with a focus in Scared/Cultural Spaces from The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. Eric also hold a Masters of Science in Sustainable Design.

Eric has received numerous awards from design competitions throughout graduate school and his early professional career including team AIA|DC Chapter design awards.

During his early professional career, Eric has been focused and interested on the streamline implementation between sustainable design and BIM/computational design. But more importantly, creating space that generates a positive imprint on the user and its surrounding site. Enabling the user to be more connected with nature.

Being highly active outside the office with the AIA|DC Emerging Architects Committee, the USGBC National Capitol Region chapter, and the Living Building DC Collaborative; Eric has been exposed to multiple pathways of sustainability and also its connection to the community.

While at HDR, as an architectural firm committed to the AIA 2030 Commitment, Eric has been the sustainable and BIM lead for a couple projects ranging from 40,000 to 90,000 GSF. These projects have been federal or healthcare.
